In 2016 Rihanna gave us Fenty x Puma, a modern clothing line supported by sportswear conglomerate Puma. In 2017 she made headlines with the debut of Fenty Beauty, an inclusive and high-end makeup line to match any skin tone. In 2018 Fenty savage, Rihanna’s incredibly diverse lingerie brand that ranges in sizes from 32A to 44DD was born. And while she was making our highlight pop, our confidence blossom, and breaking down industry barriers in diversity (hi Victoria’s Secret) she has also been an international pop star. Can you say YAS Queen?

While Rihanna has built a substantial empire of fans and loyal customers she has no plans on stopping any time soon and 2019 has us all in for a treat. According to WWDRihanna is rumoured to be launching a luxury fashion brand with LVMH. LVMH owns various luxury houses including: Fendi, Christian Dior, Celine, Givenchy, and Louis Vuitton. As a fashion icon herself, Rihanna would no doubt open up new doors to creativity within the luxury brands. Rihanna is not an influencer turned business women, it is evident that her drive and clear understanding of her consumer needs make her a natural born boss lady.

Given Rihanna’s track record for creating body-positive and culturally diverse products and campaigns, not to mention her incredible personal style, I can only imagine the wonders she will achieve with a luxury fashion brand. While this news may have your wallet screaming I’m sure that, like me, it also has your heart souring. This is one rumour I definitely hope is true!
